Shadow figure

I had some more guests today
Some punks carrying gadgets
That blinked or beeped
Whenever I was nearby
At certain rooms of my home
They would stop and ask questions
While playing a recording device
For kicks I try to give answers
With odd results
Sometimes when they play back what was recorded
They sometimes act as if they heard what I said
Most of the time what is played back
Was never what I said in the first place
One of them asked
If you’re here say something
So I said
Everlasting peace to you
And the recorder playback said
Everest pete too
And the punks exclaimed
It said
Eff you peeps!

Jeez these ghost hunters
Are so gullible
