We’ve passed each other
A million times
Of them
Maybe ten thousand times
We actually made eye contact
Further still
We only said something to each other
A few thousand times
Of them we’ve had
A hundred or so conversations
Then even more so
Only a few dozen of our interactions
Resulted in lasting bonds
And of those
Only a single connection
We dared to make
Managed to last a lifetime
