They are negotiating
Even sharing barbs against outsiders
I’m counting what’s been said
Still wondering why I’m here

Someone’s watching me
As I mind my own business
They think they know me
Based on what I told them before

But it’s hard to choose words
That uncomplicates what I feel
Hard to explain the many phases
That I dwell in

So why get caught in
Tangled webs sticky emotions?
Better to just be a mindful fly
Not dying hard but living free
